Undefeated Bulldogs too much for Hoosiers

Coming into the game the #25 Hoosiers were 19-2-1 all time against the Bulldogs, splitting their games last season 1-1. Butler bested the Hoosiers in the regular season 2-1 in overtime.

Butler loss deals blow to soccer morale

Bloomington, IN - Wednesday was another typical Hoosier soccer night; cold, windy, and with a tough opponent. No. 8 Butler University came to town tonight with a fast offense that kept the ball away from IU all night. The Hoosiers suffer a devastating loss to Butler 4-1, and drop to 19-3-1 all time against the Bulldogs.

Wednesday night’s loss was hard on player morale, players who need to look forward to the last week and a half of the season. Keeping the faith, as it were, is going to be essential in winning the Big Ten, a sentiment that the player were echoing after the game.

armstrong press

Three straight victories against the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish could not propel the Hoosiers to a victory Wednesday, as IU dropped a difficult match 2-1.

Coming into the game, the Hoosiers had been playing some very good soccer, going 3-0-1 in their last four contests.
