Entering this season, the Big Ten was projected to be the dominant conference in men's basketball. With almost a month of the season already played, how are the teams faring? Let's take a look:

Hoosier Volleyball team snaps losing streak

Maybe it’s time for a new streak to begin.

After a dozen wins to open the season, followed by four consecutive losses, the IU volleyball team beat visiting Ohio State Friday, 25-21, 12-25, 25-20, 25-20.

The Hoosiers (13-4, 1-4) picked up their first conference win of the season, dropping the Buckeyes to 14-4, 2-3 in the Big Ten.

Indiana opened the first set hot, leading 5-0. The Buckeyes eventually managed to narrow their deficit to 11-10, forcing the Hoosiers to take their first timeout and regroup.

The conference is attempting to give the devout and loyal alumni and fans more of what they already loved to watch.

The main concern from Michigan and Ohio State fans has been “what would happen to the rivalry,” and more importantly the rivalry game that is always the last game of the regular season. The Big Ten responded with a simple solution: if some is good, then more is better.
